If we're not needing something very heavy duty, these can be a great little option either to get it up to state code of the entire chains in there, but they are still gonna be doing a good job of giving us a little bit of bite in that snow and ice, not gonna be anything too crazy. And with the steel rollers on here as well, we are gonna find ourselves having a smoother ride than we might with some of our thicker chains, especially if you're looking at the square links or V-bars. more

What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Konig self-tensioning snow tire chains on our 2017 Nissan Murano.We are going to get a diamond pattern with our chains, and they are going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy steel. We have these little steel plates here, and that's going to help kind of break up some of that ice and such like that.Everything that is here is mostly made of metal, besides the little section that's closest to your rims. It's going to be plastic, so it's not really going to scuff your rims if you're in heavier snow and that snow's pushing in on your sidewall. These are going to be a lot more forgiving on your wheels compared to maybe the aggressive ladder pattern style chains, so just be mindful of that.What I really like about it is that the tensioner is built in. You don't have to buy a separate tensioner and keep track of it. more

Today in our 2018 Nissan Rogue, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Isse Hybrid Snow Socks, part number THC74. The tire sets we're working with today is 22565R17. These socks cover the entire area of your tire and give you great traction through light snow and ice. Any of those tougher conditions when a big storm rolls through, you might want to consider upgrading to a set of steel chains.The elastic band on the outside makes instillation and removal very quick and easy and it also still provides a snug fit to your tire.
